Cottage Cheese Bake


  • 500gram tub of cottage cheese
  • 1 small onion
  • 1 large clove of garlic
  • 1 Tbs Massel Beef stock powder
  • 1 Tbs fresh chopped Parsley
  • 1 Egg
  • 1/4 cup self raising flour
  • 1/4 cup of rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup of skim milk
  • 2 cups of corn flakes
  • Olive oil for frying
  • 1 Tbs melted Margarine


Saute onions and garlic in a little olive oil. Place all ingrediends except the cornflakes and melted margarine in a mixing bowl and mix well. When the mixture is evenly combined add the cornflakes, giving it a quick mix through with a wooden spoon. Spread the mixture into a well greased baking dish and smooth out the top. Brush the margerine over the top and cover baking dish with foil. Bake at 180deg for 35 minutes. Remove foil and continue to bake for a few more minutes until golden brown.
